Plasloc’s External Hoarding system is non-ground penetrating which means the hoarding construction makes no impact on land or buildings in and around the site perimeter. The building site hoarding is temporary fencing that is freestanding and self-supporting, so it is ideal for urban environments. The system is a popular choice, configured by using a combination of a weighted scaffold structure and clad with the Plasloc boards. This gives the system enormous versatility in design and ensures maximum stability. As perimeter fences, Plasloc’s External Hoarding system makes an excellent choice as solid structures that give your project site security, preventing unauthorised access and potential theft, vandalism and arson by minimising access points to the site for pedestrians. The beauty of the system is that it can be configured by our experienced knowledgeable operatives in an efficient safe manner guaranteeing minimal disruption. Our external system can be purchased for those very long-term projects but is usually hired giving you additional flexibility especially if your works are phased and the hoarding construction location requires shifting around the building site as areas are opened up to the public. A further advantage is at the end of the project we return to the site and deconfigure the hired product for you and take it away leaving no trace the hoarding construction system was ever there, so you are not left with costly repairs and making good expenses.

To comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, all employers and the self-employed must take reasonable steps to ensure the safety of the general public. The implication of this is that construction sites need a protective boundary, with site hoarding being the most fitting solution. This has led to a demand for hoarding construction systems .
Who is responsible for construction hoarding?
The principal contractor has responsibility for construction site hoarding. However, whether they wish to design the hoarding construction themselves or employ a subcontractor to do it for them is their choice.

How does Plasloc fit together?
All sections of Plasloc hoarding are connected with a traditional tongue and groove joint and compression lock which removes the need for any fixings such as nails and screws and reduces any cutting and drilling to limit potential damage. It also requires no ground penetration, so it can easily be installed at the start of the project and removed at the end of it, to suit all your hoarding construction needs.
